The formation of our company in 1978 came about through the demise some years earlier of CAC - Colonial Ammunition Co. which bought to a close a long history of shot shell manufacturing in New Zealand. A void was left open and someone had to fill it.

From very small beginnings we established a niche market supplying a small volume of competition and game hunting shot shells for solely the New Zealand market when import licences and trade restrictions determined the extent of many business enterprises during the 1970's and 80's.

Since the early 80's we are proud to represent Fiocchi Munizioni of Italy in the New Zealand and South Pacific region.

Early on a strong working relationship was established with respected suppliers of shot shell components in Europe and to this day we continue our collaboration with Fiocchi Munizioni and Elio Gualandi & Co. of Italy to ensure our shot shells are loaded to the highest standard equal to those produced by manufacturers in Europe - USA and the United Kingdom. 

Our sporting ammunition has gained a strong reputation for consistent quality and performance in all forms of competition and if required we can manufacture customised loads for specific purposes to cater for individual preferences. In recent years steel shot shells have been loaded at our facility to cater for the growing demand for non-toxic hunting loads so these fits nicely within our range for both game hunting and pest control use.

Not only is New Zealand our market but our products have been shipped extensively as far away as the Indian Sub-Continent and to South Pacific territories. Australia too is a major market for our range of competition and hunting shot shells where they have established a strong following under the FALCON brand
